Suspicious powder letters disrupt election and congressional offices nationwide
More than three dozen lawmakers and election offices across at least 32 states have reportedly received suspicious mail, sometimes containing white powder. No confirmed congressional-office sample had been deemed hazardous in the latest reporting, but evacuations and investigations disrupted election work shortly before the midterms.
NBC: NBC reports that the investigation expanded as additional congressional and state election offices received suspicious packages. It distinguishes confirmed incidents from unresolved questions about origin, coordination and the contents of the letters.
